Development and Human Rights Night:
Thursday, April 20, 2016 6-8pm Trabant MPRs B & C

As part of our week long awareness campaign, Seva Week, buildOn will be hosting the first ever Development and Human Rights Night where students can learn the breadth of career choices related to international development and human rights and how to get started at UD. RSOs from campus who are working under this theme will have tables set up where you can learn about the work they are doing and how to get involved. From there, buildOn at UD has invited a panel of speakers to discuss their careers and work. The panel will specifically focus on current work on the continent of Africa as this is where our chapter is currently focused. More details to come soon!

Seva Week: April 18th-April 22nd

Our chapter will be holding our second annual awareness campaign Seva Week in April. Seva is the Sanskrit word meaning “service to others” and during this week out chapter aims to bring awareness to issues in international development, education, and the country we are currently working in, Burkina Faso. Throughout the week we will have kiosks set up in Trabant where you can learn more about these issues. On Thursday buildOn at UD will be hosting their first ever, Development and Human Rights Night. The week will be finished off with our second annual Jail n’ Bail fundraiser on campus, co-hosted by Engineers Without Borders.
